Scuba diving

These pictures were taken on a three day scuba diving holiday in the Canary Islands. I was with my son celebrating his 20th birthday. It was lovely and relaxed and warm in the middle of January.

As beginners we were led gently from the hotel pool, to our first dive to eight metres and then on to 12 metres. With the rocks and waves behind us, what we saw under the sea was incredible. We saw stillness and sand stretching as far as we could see. We were joined by a vast array of fish, octopus and star fish.

A joyous and inspiring time. I’ve never seen stillness like it before.
