A Day of Reflection, Inspiration and Looking Beyond!

On Tuesday 13 October, we headed to Dorney Lake for our Team Away Day. We were delighted to welcome back Andrew Baughen, who guided us through the next stages of the “Whole Value Workshop” which he started with us back in 2025, exploring the fascinating theme of “Changing the Narrative on Wealth.” The session challenged us to look beyond money and consider how we can help people recognise the treasures they’ve been entrusted with, uncover their potential and embrace the possibilities that lie beyond wealth alone.

We also explored the Fruits of the Spirit and how we can bring these qualities into every aspect of our work. Andrew’s handout sparked some great discussions about how we put these values into practice in our relationships with clients, colleagues, our wider team and the Charitable Trust. It was a valuable opportunity to reflect on what we do, celebrate the difference we make and think about how we can continue to grow and thrive as a team.

The afternoon brought a change of pace, with updates, encouragement and some lovely feedback from our client community. We took time to reflect on what our clients had shared with us and discuss exciting developments happening across Beyond Finance.

Liz Hounsell also gave an update on the Transforming Masculinities programme. Hearing about the difference this programme is making was a truly uplifting reminder of why our work matters and the lives we can help change.
