Summer Team Day Out – A Quacking Good Day Out in Windsor!
This year, our annual summer day out took us to the beautiful town of Windsor for a day filled with sunshine, laughter and plenty of great food!
Although we had originally planned to explore Windsor Castle, it was unfortunately closed on the day. Not to let that spoil the fun, we embraced Plan B and we’re so glad we did!
With temperatures reaching a scorching 35°C, we kicked off the day with a delicious breakfast and a much needed tea/coffee at Côte Brasserie before setting off to explore. Some of our advisers even took to the River Thames for a spot of rowing.
Next, we enjoyed a fantastic lunch at the charming Clarence Brasserie & Tea Room. The food was absolutely delicious and the wonderful staff made our visit even more memorable by surprising us with complimentary cake for dessert, a very welcome treat!
The afternoon’s highlight was our tour aboard the famous ‘Duck’ (an amphibious vehicle that certainly turns heads!). Our brilliantly entertaining guide drove us through the streets of Windsor, sharing fascinating stories and local history along the way. Then came the best part: with a splash, the Duck transformed into a boat and took us onto the River Thames, where we admired some truly spectacular riverside homes (and discovered that a few of them come with equally spectacular price tags!).
Before heading home, we made one final stop for some well-earned ice cream to cool off after a very warm day.
Despite our original plans changing, the day couldn’t have turned out better. It was a fantastic opportunity to spend time together away from the office, enjoy the beautiful weather and create some great memories. Here’s to next year’s adventure!
