Operation Dreamland
Update 11th June 2024
Thanks to the amazing participation and teamwork of everyone involved, collectively with Dreamland Hospital, we were able to raise over £44,000 towards our goal of £35,000! With matched funding, this brings the total fundraising to a staggering £80,000!
Everyone at Dreamland Mission Hospital is thrilled with this accomplishment and the potential it has to make a real difference in the community. This is a huge encouragement to the team in Kenya. These funds will be used to purchase new theatre equipment and will allow the hospital to continue providing excellent services and perform even more life-changing and life-saving surgeries. So many lives will be changed and saved because of this project. We are so grateful and thank you so much to all who were involved! Here are some pictures which capture the wonderful spirit of the day!

Updated 13th May
A message from Becky at Dreamland Hospital.
We are aiming, with the support of our client community, to collectively walk or run 3,500 kilometres – the full circumference of Kenya!
We would love to be able to raise £35,000 to equip a critically important new operating theatre at the Dreamland Hospital in the remote town of Kimilili in Kenya. We are pleased to confirm that matched funding for this initiative has been secured!
How you can support this project:
By donating – every £10 will buy 1km to help us toward achieving our 3,500 km target, which represents the full circumference around Kenya and will raise funds towards equipping the new operating theatre!

Why is this project important?
Increased demand for surgery: The number of surgeries performed at Dreamland Hospital has increased dramatically in recent years. DMH simply does not currently have the space to meet this demand safely.
Limited theatre space: Currently, surgeons have to choose between performing essential surgeries for children and providing safe emergency deliveries for mothers. This is a difficult and unfair choice.
Saving lives: A new operating theatre will allow DMH to perform more life-saving surgeries, including C-sections, complex gynaecological procedures, and advanced orthopaedic surgery.
We think this is an incredible opportunity to collectively make a tangible difference to many lives.
